課程概述 Introduction

國際關係史課程的主要內容就是追溯，瞭解並分析當代國際體系的?生，演進，對各國外交行為的影響，以及背後思想基礎的變化。由於當代國際關係體系是由歐美國際體系發展而來，所以課程的重心就不得不以歐美強權體系的變化為主，再逐步擴大到全球範疇，始於一六四八年的巴發利亞和會，終於一九九0年冷戰結束，以一九三九年到一九四五年二次大戰為分野，分別於上下學期教授。
In this course I will introduce the birth and evolution of the modern international relations since the Westphalia Peace in 1648. As this system was firstly born in Europe and later expanded to the rest of the world, I cannot but put the emphasis upon the development of this West-centred system in the first semester. Accordingly, during the first eighteen weeks, we will focus on the evolution of world politics between 1648 and 1945.
